The year 2041
It's my first day of college and all already things feel different then what I expected. I thought 2041 would never come but to finally be a graduate feels amazing! I'm on my own have the classes I want and am attending the University of choice. All my course are so different from what they were like in high school. In one class my professor doesn't even show up, all holographic. She appears, watches and teachers all from the comfort of her own living room, strange but actually works. She knows what she's doing and can pull things up online to show us visual from the big screen from her computer at home. I also have another class that is complete online. We all have avatars and "act" as if we are in a class room but can do it all from our rooms! It's really great. The professor can call on us for participation (so we actually have to be online) but all the work is submitted online and just makes the class flow better. All the latest restaurants and activities seem to be on campus because there aren't too many academic buildings with all the new technology. This first semester is definitely not what I expected it to be but has defiantly exceeded by expectations. Can't wait to see what else lies ahead for my college years!

Skunk Ape...
If I were assigned a research paper now I feel as I would have more confidence and better luck with my research. Through this tutorial I was shown the many stages in research, some stages that I didn't even know existed until now. I defiantly would feel more comfortable in going and talking to the librarians about a paper or topic I need help gathering information on and I will most certainly use the library web databases. They are full of information and hundreds of articles, books, journals, ect. that I could use for my classes.
I already knew how to manly find sources online and the citing parts of research. Through the summer course and through high school I learned that you need to have a good sense on background information for your topic along with supporting information on it. What I feel I knew but never really took advantages on would be all of the sources that are there for us to use and how little I have used them all in the past.
Three things I did not know until the tutorial:
1: The Library database-I know we went over how to use it in the summer but I feel after going into details about it on this site I have a better idea of its use.
2:Citing Journals/Articles-it explained more on telling the difference between the two.
3: The background knowledge of topics before starting actual research.
Three things I knew before tutorial:
1:The summarizing, paraphrasing, quoting for sources.
2:How to properly cite my sources.
3:Using Date bases, books, journals ect. to find information.

The Big Five..
1. Marry the man of my dreams
2. Live in Tennessee (raise my family)
3. See George Strait in concert
4. Visit somewhere new every year
5. Become a Teacher
Number one, what girl doesn't want to eventually settle down and marry the man of her dreams. I feel as if I know what I'm looking for man for me and know that he's out there. Someone that shares the same interests, will do anything for you and can be themselves around you. But most of all love you for who you are. It brings me to my favorite quote "anyone can be passionate, but only true lovers can be silly." I know that I have different personality and can't wait have that person that shares it all with me, to be with me forever.
Number two, I have always loved Tennessee. I'm a country girl at heart and can't wait to have a big ranch up or live up in the mountains. I want to have a nice house to raise my family in and grow old sitting my back porch watching the sun set over Gods perfect creation. Another great thing about Tennessee is the weather. Yes, I know it will get cold and being a Floridian that will take time getting used to but I can not wait to actually experience seasons.
Number three, George Strait-the king of country music. I have been to tons of country concerts and seen pretty much all of my favorites. To have the opportunity to see the king of country music would be the best experience. I love all of his songs and feel as if they are all perfect examples of life itself.
Number four, My family has always loved to travel. I have been to many different states, islands and countries. I would love to be able to give my children that same opportunity. To be able to learn about a culture or place then go out and experience it. I have seen so many breath taking things that I would have never imagined I would have gotten the opportunity to see. I hope to be able to continue what I have learned and show my family these amazing places and many more.
Number five, to become a teacher has been my dream job since I was in the second grade. I had an amazing second grade teacher who was and still is a huge role model to me in my life. I love working with kids and getting the chance to watch them grow. I worked at an aftercare for the past two years and grew so close with the children there and I feel as if that showed me that I want to work at school one day. Even though there are those kids that act up and drive you crazy at time I know I would not give any of that up for a day. I feel as much as want to get out of school, I can not wait to start my life back in a school to help kids to grow in themselves, knowledge, Christ and life.

argument is everywhere
Through this image it shows the vehicle belongs to a married a man. Through being married he implies that he is broke. That his wife spends all of his cash and goes out to purchase all of her wants. So if you are looking for a car to rube or highjack this probably isn’t the vehicle for you. (Considering it looks like it’s about to fall apart and his statement that he is broke.)
I would say that this issue is unethical. Not every married man has no cash or isn’t “in charge” of some of the spending habits. The image is merrily a joke that woman spends too much and the man is left with nothing to spend on himself.

Like a good neighbor StateFarm is there...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohC5kyyum4g
Thesis: The point of this commercial is to show the viewer that State Farm agents are always there for their customers. No matter what the situation, location or need they will be there for them. Just like their catch jingle "Like a good neighbor State Farm is there, with a ______." In most of the commercial they show that no only does the customer get the help needed but also anything else they desire along with it.
Purpose: The purpose of this commercial is to get viewers to make State Farm their insurance company. State Farm can get them what ever it is they need and will be there for them in any situation. With State Farm you can't go wrong and they will always be there for you.
Audience: The audience is directed to anyone that needs any type of insurance . With them the viewer can have car, home and life insurance with State Farm and are guaranteed the best services. They have multiple commercials that have different situations for all their types of insurances and show the many things that people "want" a long with them to drag them in.

Footprints
When someone says footprint anyone’s automatic response would be to think of a print made on the ground from someone’s foot. Wherever or whenever someone walks a “footprint” is made. We do not always think about this because in most places our footprints are not visual. The only real places we see footprints is if the bottom of a persons foot is wet and it leaves a mark on the side walk or if someone were to walk on clay, sand or mud. When we see these footprints they are never the same. The print is either small or larger, wide or long, has wrinkles or is printed from the bottom of a different shoe. Not one person on this earth has the same footprint or leaves the same mark. With that we do not normally think of what footprint we are leaving on this earth, or in other words our “mark”. Everyone wants to leave this earth feeling as if they left something behind that others would either cherish or teach them something they will never forget. As far as my footprints go on this earth I would like to be remember as someone who was kind, trustworthy, a friend to all. But what I never thought of was my footprint on this earth globally. Do I take care of the ecosystem; watch what I eat and where I get it? After taking the quiz I found out that I would use up 5.8 earths in order to stay alive. That I would need 25.6 global acres and that the highest level on my pie chart was my shelter. After thinking about it I realized that I take new technology and the ways mans created to my advantage. I’m not a tree hugger and do not seem to really focus on anything going on around me that concerns the ecosystem. Before taking this quiz I did see it coming that my scores would be around what they were, but never took the time till now to think of what I could do to make it better. I decided to go with buying more products that use less packaging or that are made out of 100%post-consumer recycled content material, and to use energy from renewable services. This really is not something that challenging to work on and can do the planet a lot of good. Why do I need to get products from all around and that are worse for me, when I could buy more organic food that is better for me and better for the environment. By doing this I think I can lower my amount of earths and feel better about helping our planet.

The life of a wave
The smell of the salty sea air, the wind blowing through my hair, the suns raise shinning down from above, with the sand beneath my feet. I can sea the waves topple over each other one by one. for it’s more rough out this morning then usual. The suns raise are just coming over the horizon making streaks of light through the clouds and over the water top. The sky is bright baby blue on top with a light tint of yellow around the sun. As I look around I hear the waves roll up onto the shore it brings peace to my state of mind. A calm and relaxing feeling takes over me, all the troubles are washed away from me for this moment in time. Just as someone walks along the shoreline and their foot prints get left as they walk. As soon as the next wave comes by those foot prints vanish, as if someone had never even been their. It makes me think of all the rough times I’ve gone through in this past year and that God always gives us second chances. We may not always like the path we get but their is a plan for our lives and I believe that we all chose that path for ourselves. Nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes but with those mistakes we learn a lessons and in those lessons comes life. It’s almost like the life a wave. As the wave starts off small and calm in the distant horizon it builds up with pressure and begins to tower. Once the wave reaches its peak it beings to tumble down. until it crashes against the water or sand it is flattened out again and sucked back into the water for a new beginning. With this scenario it brings me back to the thought of how the oceans waves resemble my life so much. Everyone has times when life is filled with stress and pressure that builds up and eventually crashes. It’s hard when we get to that crashing point but nice to know that we all get flattened out and receive that second chance to start fresh.
